EMERGING TRENDS DEFINED

The diagnosis and treatment of psychological trauma is a specialty craft. Most trauma professionals incorporate trauma services as part of a larger continuum of care services and receive reimbursement for these trauma services through that broader compensation model for licensed professionals. Recent trends have demonstrated that another model of reimbursement is available for trauma services providers. Emerging evidence-based practices now allow for the treatment of trauma to be reimbursed through the community health, peer support and psychiatric rehabilitation models.
