The original Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) study was conducted at Kaiser Permanente from 1995 to 1997 by Dr. Vincent Felitti and Dr. Robert Anda. In 2017, the researchers at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. found that the original ACEs study of individual adverse experiences were compounded by pervasive, systemic issues in the community environment. The research was again expanded by the CDC in 2019. And finally, this graphic was created by PACEs Connection with inspiration and guidance from Building Community Resilience Collaborative and Networks and the International Transformational Resilience Coalition.

The College of Clinical Care is uniquely positioned to respond and train in all 3 realms and present the fully expanded ACEs training in all certification levels, and on demand, by request.
