Community Health Workers (CHWs) are health educators, health coaches, health advocates, prevention specialists, and health care service providers. The Community Health Worker - Mental Health & Psychiatric Rehabilitation® (CHW-PSYR®) track requires 200 hours (75 hours of education/125 hours of supervised experience) of advanced training in order to receive the designation. The curriculum is designed for practitioner-competent level healthcare workers.The CHW-PSYR® training satisfies the PRA CPRP requirements and is designed to continue professional development beyond the CPRP.
