The Community Health Worker - Trauma Specialist™ (CHW-Trauma™) is a health care provider that utilizes evidence-based approaches for the management, mitigation, response, intervention, and resolution of trauma. This curriculum covers the 3 Realms of ACEs: Adverse Childhood Experiences, Adverse Community Environments, and Adverse Climate Events. The CHW-Trauma™ designation requires the completion of 200 hours (75 hours of education/125 hours of supervised experience) of training and is designed for practitioner-competent level healthcare workers. This training is approved by the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists and the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology. This training satisfies the requirements for Green Cross certification & deployment.
