Community Health Workers (CHWs) are health educators, health coaches, health advocates, prevention specialists, and health care service providers. The Community Health Worker - Mental Health & Behavioral Health® (CHW - MHBH®) advanced curriculum requires 200 hours (75 hours of education/125 hours of supervised experience) of training in order to receive the designation. The CHW - Mental Health & Behavioral Health® will explore the basics of fortigenesis within the bio-psycho-social-spiritual-environmental/cultural spectrum of care. This curriculum is designed for practitioner-competent level healthcare workers.
