VETERANS CHAPLAIN

The Veterans Chaplain™ (VetCh) curriculum requires the completion of 400 hours (100 hours of education/300 hours of supervised experience) of advanced clinical pastoral education & training in order to receive the designation. The curriculum explores the bio-psycho-social-spiritual care provided to veterans in various settings with a special focus on spiritually-integrated psychotherapy, neurotheology, individual and group spiritual counseling, and spiritual assessments.
Specializations may be achieved in:
(1) Behavioral Health
(2) Community Health, including hospice and palliative care
(3) Rehabilitation and Recovery
(4) Trauma, including PTSD, suicide, domestic violence, compassion fatigue and moral injury
(5) Chaplain Education and Supervision.
