The Veterans Chaplain™ designation curriculum requires the completion of 400 hours (100 hours of education/300 hours of supervised experience) of clinical pastoral education & training for certification. The curriculum explores the bio-psycho-social-spiritual care provided to veterans in various settings with a special focus on spiritually-integrated psychotherapy, neurotheology, individual and group spiritual counseling, and spiritual assessments. Specializations may be achieved in behavioral health; community health, including hospice and palliative care; recovery and rehabilitation; chaplain education and supervision; and, trauma, including compassion fatigue and moral injury.
