Elaine Plowden-Brown

Ms. Elaine T. Plowden-Brown attended the University of the District of Columbia. She is a published author. She has twenty years of direct service experience with helping people.
Ms. Brown is a national community support worker educator. She is a national whole health trainer. She is also a national certified peer support specialist and a state certified peer recovery specialist. She is a state certified forensic peer specialist. She is a state registered peer supervisor.
Ms. Brown has special training and certification as a traumatologist with the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology (www.greencross.org).
Ms. Brown currently serves on the executive boards of the Association of Addiction Professionals of the District of Columbia, and the District of Columbia Community Health Worker Association.
Ms. Brown is the managing partner of the National Community Health Workers Institute.
