COMMUNITY CARE - COMMUNITY CHAPLAIN

The Community Care Community Chaplain™ (CCCCh) curriculum requires the completion of 400 hours (100 hours of education/300 hours of supervised experience) of advanced clinical pastoral education & training in order to receive the designation. This CCCCh training establishes the National Community Care Chaplaincy curriculum (NCCC), which explores the following:
1. Bio-Psycho-Social/Cultural/Environmental-Spiritual Care
2. Fundamentals of Salutogenesis
3. Theories and Practices of Community Health
4. Individual and Group Counseling
5. Spiritual Assessments
6. Compassion Fatigue
7. Community Chaplaincy: Spiritual Care in Public Spaces
8. Business, Commerce & Industry Chaplaincy
9. Transportation Chaplains: Air, Land & Sea
10. Education Chaplains
11. Government Chaplains
12. Sports and Entertainment Chaplains
13. Ethics, Advocacy & Professional Responsibilities
This training is designed for spiritual care providers serving in non-conventional places and spaces, such as government and civil service agencies, religious and non-profit organizations, educational institutions, homeless shelters, housing programs, funeral homes, sports and entertainment venues, business and commerce entities, airports and other transportation settings, and many other appropriate areas and sites in communities where people are located. The intersection between chaplaincy, or applied spiritual care, and community, community care, and community health will be explored.
