CPE ADVANCED SPECIALTY COMPREHENSIVE EXAM

The Clinical Pastoral Education Advanced Specialty Comprehensive Examination (CASCE) is a mandatory, 200 question, multiple choice, summative exam that assesses the knowledge and skills acquisition level of chaplains seeking specialization after completing 4 accredited basic CPEs and attaining recognized board certification. Participants must successfully complete an advanced CPE unit from an USDE-accredited entity in order to sit for the CASCE and receive an advanced specialty designation.
