Community Health Workers (CHWs) are health educators, health coaches, health advocates, prevention specialists, and health care service providers. The Community Health Worker - Veterans Health & Support Services (CHW-Vet) designation requires 200 hours (75 hours of education/125 hours in supervised experience) of advanced training.
