The Fire, First Response, EMS, & Emergency Dispatch (FFRE) Chaplain curriculum requires the completion of 400 hours (100 hours of education/300 hours of supervised experience) of advanced clinical pastoral education & training in order to receive the designation. This FFRE Chaplain training establishes the National Emergency Services Chaplain Curriculum (NESCC). This training is designed for spiritual care professionals serving in fire departments and academies, emergency medical and dispatch, and rescue and first response organizations.
